This is the other set of lyrics that Murray chose to write music for. No, it's not a love song! When I wrote the lyrics I was caught up in a myriad of emotions... struggling to make sense of people and their decisions, struggling to make myself a better person, struggling to understand how pride really can mess everything up...

This was a difficult song for me to sing because I am used to singing songs I've written for my own voice. Murray sounds great singing this song. Perhaps, on the next CD, we'll include a version of Murray singing this song.

 Lyrics

you can travel your whole life thru
make a home for a while or just keep passing through
and the demons who call your name
 may never find you
 but it's all the same...

It's not where you're going or where you've been
it's not your glory and it's not your sin
It's the difference that you make
When there's more than your pride at stake

Like the prairies in the spring
canvas of green and gold over everything
and the wind may blow and the wheat will bend
but sooner or later winter's coming again...

It's not where you're going or where you've been
it's not your glory and it's not your sin
It's the difference that you make
When there's more than your pride at stake

You can travel your whole life thru
never let anyone get to know the real you
and while those demons may not find you
all you're left with in the end
Is a hole in your shoe...

It's not where you're going or where you've been
it's not your glory and it's not your sin
It's the difference that you make
When there's more than your pride at stake
